What Can I Do for GET OUT AND SERVE SUNDAY

By Bruce Kane |  April 15, 2014

On Sunday, May 4th epic worship will be a tangible expression of our obedience to the mission of Christ.  Instead of meeting in our normal facilities to worship through prayer, praises, and study, we will meet at Hidden Valley Park in Hanford to provide free services to that neighborhood's families.  By doing this we are saying that Jesus is our Master and what he tells us to do we do.

Jesus said that true religion was caring for our communitiy's most needy.  He said that in serving the least of those around us we are in fact serving Him.  He said that He did not come to serve but to be served and that His kingdom was a kingdom of serving.  So we get out and serve to worship Hiim.

On May 4th, we will set up at the part to provide: bike repair for local families and individuals, haircuts, lunch, children's activities, children's books to take home and keep, family portraits, and blood pressure/pulse checks.

You may join us in our day of worship through service by shoing up to serve.  Show up at Hidden Valley Park and see Bruce of Kevin - who will have a name tag on, OR if you show up at Pioneer Middle School, where we usually meet on Sunday mornings, someone will be there to register ou for a service group and call ahead to tell the teams you are on the way.

In advance you can donate a few things.  You can bring a child's toy for a praize in one of our children's games, gently used children's books to be given away, or contact Bruce Kane about donating a specific food item for our lunch service.
