Prayers for Peace

By Bruce Kane |  December 28, 2007

Here are some of the prayers that were left on the cross at our Christmas Eve worship gathering.  If you were not with us, these are written prayers that we asked the members of our worshipping community to bring with them to the Christmas Eve gathering.  At that gathering, we asked those gathered to respond to the peace that we have each received from Christ by offering a prayer for peace, lighting a candle and offering their prayer up to God on the cross.

We ask the Lord for peace during and through this season, which is filled with selling our home in Florida, becoming situated in California, an OCS application, 'J' (name omitted) starting school, the boys starting school, and all of ... (unfinished)

Dear God, I would like to ask for peace in my life.  I know it is something that you have to be willing to accept, so pleas help me to open up and accept your peace.  I would also ask for peace in our nation.  There has been a war going on for some time now, and we still have soldiers fighting.  Please bring peace to all their families this Christmas and a sense of peace to all the nation.

We pray for family peace.  The means specifically that those members of our family who don't know Christ will find peace in knowing Him.  We pray for peace that transcends beyond circumstances.

I pray for Epic and each member of GOD'S FAMILY.

Here are just a few.  If you are a believer, please take a moment and pry along with the authors of these prayers, adding your faith to theirs, by praying for their requests.
