New Plans for the Mother's Day Extravaganza

By Bruce Kane |  May 7, 2007

This Sunday, our Mother's Day Celebration is going over the top.  When we call ourselves uncommon, we mean it!  There will be no homespun knick-knacks handed to mom at the door.  There will be no awards for the oldest, youngest, newest, or mother of the most.

Instead MOM will be treated like a queen in our worship gathering.  With a royal family portrait to get started the fun will go from there.  All the kids will be with us in the worship gathering and they will have their own chance to say thanks for mom.  (The nursery will still be available for children under the age of three.)

After we have celebrated and worshipped together, a beautiful luncheon will be served in the cafeteria.  It’s a great time to spend quality time with mom.  No long wait at a restaurant.  No conflict over who is going to cook; just good food, a beautiful place setting, and plenty of time to enjoy one another.

Come and bring your mom!  You'll be glad you did.
