Bruce to Attend Royal Family Kid's Camp

By Bruce Kane |  June 3, 2005

In July of 2003, Bruce visited his first Royal Family Kids Camp. See our missions organization page and the Royal Family web link for more information about the organization. It was a moving experience.

Having heard of the social action ministry before, Bruce was anxious to see it in action. At the camp, Bruce found counselors engaged in all kinds of play with the abused and neglected children of LA County. Other counselors were trying to affirm their struggling campers. And still others were engaged in deep conversations and prayer with their campers.

Soon a carnival began. Everyone referred to the event as the birthday party. Then when the carnival games were closed up, the gathering shifted gears. The story of Jesus was unfolded for the campers and the birthday party reached it’s climax with loads of gifts for each camper. Someone finally explained that most children in the foster care system never get a birthday party in their honor. And on this day, every camper had one.

On week of showing real concern, authentic acceptance, clean and selfless love to needy kids is what Royal Family Kid’s Camps are about. This Royal Family Camp promises to bring new hope to very needy children in LA County. It also promises the potential of broadening the number of children that can be touched by Royal Family Kid’s Camp through the ministry of epic.

This July, Bruce will attend the Royal Family Kid's Camp sponsored by Life Center in Lakewood, CA.  At this camp, Bruce will participate, first hand in this amazingly powerful ministry to America's most needy population - our abused and neglected children.  Look for a report on Bruce’s blog and in this news column.
