It was a normal afternoon at home, tired from a day of teaching, trying to be a good dad, juggling household responsibilities, and squeezing in ministry.  My cell phone rang and it was Dave Gable - a leader, epic supporter, and friend.  Dave told me, "I'm about to make your day.  I have $20,000.00 for epic," he said. 

When I caught my breath and could respond, I asked Dave for the story.  It turns out that Grace Assembly of God church in Bakersfield , planted 7 years ago by Eddie Summers, had been the recipient of 2 pieces of property and felt urgency from God to pass along the blessing.  By the recommendation of Southern California district leadership, epic was chosen by Grace as the recipient of the gift.

When Rhonda and I met with Eddie, his wife and some Grace staff members, Eddie explained that Grace was very excited to be a part of what God is doing in Hanford .  They had previously visited Hanford on a train trip.  I was quick to express that our prayer team had been praying for several weeks that God would provide exactly $20,000.00 to meet our launch budget.  It was clear that God had been planning this provision for quite some time.
